It is a college area but there are families, some of the landlords do not keep up the buildings and rent them out to 6 or more college students on each floor. It makes for an environment off putting to other demographics
there are a lot of people that are similar to me living there. there really is not a lot to do but it is a great place to live and raise a family. it is family friendly neighborhood.
They hold many ethnic parades all year round, there are also stores for days brand name stores selling all kinds of merchandise, jobs for a younger generation looking for a career. Yes alot of variety .
It is not age friendly because there are a lot of violence here. there is also a bullying problem at schools and there are not many safe areas for children.
there is something to do for every age group. from playgrounds and parks to walking and bike trails and good local restaurants, farmers markets during the summer. movies in the park on weekends during the summer
It's age friendly in that everything is close by and accessable. It's not age friendly in that city living can be very fast paced. For example, walk lights to cross busy intersections are only 20 seconds long. Individuals with mobility impairments might find this limiting.
We have lots of park and waterfront areas as well as a children's museum. It's a good place for senior citizens with homes and meeting places located nearby.
Many people are rude and brash here, so I suppose not very age-friendly. Of course, there are also many people here that aren't that bad, just the occasional age unfriendly run ins with people that might not make this neighborhood so age friendly, it's not like a little quaint neighborhood of course.
There are services for elderly, such as senior affordable housing, as well as amenities for families with children. The community has a wide variety of ages, but programs organized by the neighborhood tend to be geared towards people in their 30s and 40s
it has lots of places where you can have fun and comfort, also provides opportunities for people to engage in meaningful work, whether or not it's paid work.It makes you feel useful and to feel that you're making a contribution.
