I live at The Atrium, an apartment building for 50+. We have easy access in the general neighborhood, to the county public library, doctors, grocery stores, etc. - all within a half mile from the building. For those of us who no longer are driving, we have a fantastic driver, who takes us wherever we need to go, on the bus belonging to the building. There is a daycare center next door, providing the sounds of children at play - always a source of smiles. Our gym, while rather small, has equipment that can be adjusted to the individual's abilities, as well as a pool just outside the back door. There is also a community garden, patio, and a dining room with a chef, who understands the needs of seniors.

Well Gainesville is mostly a student based city so much of the residents are young but it's very age integrated so it have a lot of different things for every age group to take part in.

Gainesville is an affordable place to live and has an excellent public transportation system. It also has a broad cultural palette to choose from, including a rich and diverse arts and entertainment scene. Add year round beautiful weather, and Gainesville is hard to beat.
