I'm Interested in something that is nearby and not too much to handle when going and coming back from work. I want something that would be daily to do that way I can aim for a full time job.

Rent is astronomical as are home prices. Crime is through the roof and getting worse. And the level of consideration for other people is at an all-time low... which is to be expected in such a dystopian environment. The best thing I can say for LA is there are some excellent doctors here and generally lovely weather. If you're wealthy, you might give it a whirl. But even with money, you will likely find yourself paying through the nose to live in a shoebox in a gang-infested neighborhood full of homeless encampments, violent criminals, and human parasites. What was, 20 years ago, a vibrant city full of artists, cultural diversity, and opportunity is now a (literal and figurative) sh*thole where only trust funders can afford to live.
