ADS provides a key link between federal and state funding for services for older residents and family caregivers in the Seattle-King County area and the community-based organizations that deliver the services. ADS is committed to helping communities become more age-friendly under criteria established by AARP and the World Health Organization. ADS promotes evidence-based programs in the Seattle-King County area that can keep you moving and help you stay connected.
- Cultural attractions and recreational opportunities: Seattle is known for its rich arts and cultural scene, with theaters, museums, art galleries, and music venues. The city also offers beautiful parks, green spaces, and outdoor recreational activities, providing opportunities for leisure and physical activity.
- Walkability and public transportation: Many neighborhoods in Seattle are walkable, with pedestrian-friendly streets and access to public transportation, including buses and light rail. This can make it easier for older adults to navigate the city and reach various destinations.
- Mild climate: Seattle has a mild climate with cool, wet winters and warm, dry summers. The temperate weather may be appealing to older adults who prefer milder temperatures and fewer extremes.

It's good
Because I love to help people out
The physical climate of the Pacific Northwest is pretty nice - it rarely gets too hot or too cold, and not a lot of things bite or sting. Seattle has lots of stuff in it, which can be a plus, but there are too many people crowded into the space. Especially too many crazy people and too many yuppies.
Transportation, general livability, community engagement. The transit system is accessible to the elderly, there is a lot of help for the elderly and the community looks out for them and does what they can to help them.
Very interesting place to live kind and friendly people
Care
My neighbors are close to my age
i would like to make help senior age people in my life.
There is plenty of public transportation along with specific hours to shop for disabled population
Lots of sidewalks that are generally well maintained, ample cross walks easy access to public transit, lots of options for essentials shopping such as grocery stores, pharmacies, medical offices, etc. Lots of parks and green spaces, and has a local branch of the library.
