Had a HORRIBLE experience with this hospital after my husband had foot surgery there. He was unable to put weight on the surgical foot but they insisted to discharge him home with us having no way to get him up some stairs & into the house. He was 64 y.o. & too weak to hop around on one foot or use crutches. (I myself am disabled & unable to help him.) He needed rehab but they failed to arrange it even though we had asked for it ahead of his surgery. They forced discharged (dumped) him & all we could do was take him straight to another hospital where he was admitted & stayed for approximately 10 days before being sent to rehab for 2 months. The doctors & nurses of PMC were dismissive, rude & in no way helpful or compassionate about his situation. The nurses outright lied to the doctor about my husband’s ability to walk so he would sign the discharge papers. They are generally an outpatient hospital but have the ability to keep patients short-term. I’m sure the fact that it was a holiday weekend & he was the only patient left from the week of surgeries played a huge role in their push to discharge him. Don’t trust your loved ones to be treated well here!
