Portland Oregon has many positive attributes and some not so positive. I will focus on the positive herein: it is a beautiful place to live, there are many places for people in the 65-80+ range to live under supervised care, in private adult care facilities where people enjoy more of a 'family' atmosphere, or living care centers with minimal supervision, meals served 3x per day, activities tailored for this age group, and just all sorts of options for all budgets and needs. Transportation is excellent, community engagement is very good depending on personal interests, churches available everywhere, and there are a lot of things to do - again, depending on personal interest preferences. The mountains, the beach, are within 2-hour drive or public transportation away. There are all sorts of clubs to join, and interest-based communities to join. Education is also readily available through community colleges, universities, university extensions, online courses, etc. Working and volunteering is available/
